Distribution of Coconut Seedlings and Nursing of Coconut Seeds Project at “Suraliyasewana”, Centre for Women with Special Needs managed by The Department of Social Welfare, Probation and Childcare Services, Southern province by Good Hands Initiative

Coconut seedlings were planted and nursed at the “Suraliya Sevana” Special Needs Women’s Care Center on March 26th with the enthusiastic participation of the officers in charge of the center.

At this occasion, good hands explained that their prime objective is not distributing coconut plants, but to encourage all citizens to plant at least one coconut seedling. The GHI team explained and demonstrated the method of nursing a coconut and obtaining a coconut plant after a few months instead of searching for coconut seedlings to the participants who accepted the suggested method with keen interest.
