On April 27, at the HQ Police Station Premises in Panadura and Bandaragama and the Police Post at Hirana, coconut seedlings were distributed and seed nurseries were set up with the enthusiastic participation of the police officers.

The participation of the officers at the police stations was encouraging. They commended and encouraged our project as a timely need for Sri Lankan society. They were interested in knowing about coconuts, its cultivation and maladies; GHI presented them a good hands manual.

The GHI emphasized its main objective is not to distribute coconut plants or seed coconuts; but to encourage and motivate the Sri Lankans to cultivate at least one coconut plant, by obtaining the same through nursing a seed coconut.
